Recently acquired an empty box
After having a look at some online photos I was keen to furnish with models but not sure how to create the card support so had a play around with paper …
Measured up the box and organised display spacings (flats, folds & pop-outs).
Then moved onto full size trial ..
After checking that everything fitted replicated in thick card.
Then added models
Not sure how my attempt matches the original but does make me appreciate the design skills to mass produced these.
Next step - keep an eye our for the accompanying track & paper.

That is a novel and very usueful way to re-use an empty box rather than just throw it away.

Re: G1 Motorway Set
Please let me know if anyone is contemplating throwing away an empty box!
All the Matchbox Giftset box are interesting but in particular, I am looking for a 1968 G3 farm set.
I still have the original vac-form tray and models from Christmas '68 or '69 but no box to put them into.
