The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition) points out that the GPW can be either light or dark grey. Variation code 10-2E is intriguing: it appears to Nick's variation code 8 (dark red/light brown, solver trim, d/h, r/a, infill) but 'larger' GPW. Does any member have a model with GPW that are anything other than 8 x 18? If confirmed, this would become variation code 8a (or possibly 9 since it's right at the end of the table).
AIM's “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983) does not contain any new variations, and neither does Stannard or Leake ("Concise Catalogue of 75 Series Matchbox Toys by Lesney" (4th edition, reprinted 2006).
Houghton Has two new variations: his 10b-4 is maroon/cream, gold trim, 8.5 x 18 MW, d/h. c/a, with infill. If confirmed, this would slot into Nick's table as variation code 4a. In addition, Houghton has variation 10b-6, which is dark red/cream, gold trim, 8 x 18 GPW, d/h, c/a, with infill. If confirmed, this would become Nick's variation code 5a.
U.K. Matchbox examined the model in vol. 5 no. 4 (Oct. '81) p136, identifying a model (listed as 10B-4) identical to Houghton's variation code 10b-6 (see above).
