A truly fun action packed model with such exciting artwork displayed on the advert.

...of 'Batman'.

With the sad news of the death at 88 of Adam West who played Batman on our TV screens. I show this rare advert from the American Schwartz retailer for the new Corgi Toys Batmobile.

RIP Adam West. I really loved Batman when I was young. My favourite bit was the comic-style "Kapow", etc. during the fights. I treasured my Corgi Batmobile (until I wrecked it...).

If my figures are right, the Americans had to pay over twice as much for their Batmobiles as we did in the UK! It was a similar situation with Dinky Toys.

...because I never had this, my Cousin did and I still want one...



The catalogue pgae ensured I would want one, but sadly it never happened and quite possably this may have led to me becoming interested in Rescue and Recovery Trucks, not knowing then that one Day I would actually work for a recovery service.

Having worked in rescue and recovery I can now relate to the great artwork on the back of that box, with one winch cable round the tree while the other pulls up the stricken vehicle, brilliant stuff!
