11d Mercedes Scaffolding Truck

Post by Idris »

None of the NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition), the AIM's “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983), Stannard, Houghton, or Leake ("Concise Catalogue of 75 Series Matchbox Toys by Lesney" (4th edition, reprinted 2006)) lists any variation not already catalogued by Nick.
U.K. Matchbox examined the model in vol 6 no. 5 (Dec. '82) p 187 but did not identify any (new) variations.

11d Mercedes Scaffolding Truck does not have many variations. I have not seen a variation Nr.1 with round front axle holes in the base plate. If anybody has it in his collection, please take a photo. I have only 2 + 1 variations in my list. There is only a difference in the window rivet.

I don't know where Nick got that variation from since it is not in any of the other listings I consulted. If any Member has a pre-production version, could they please let us knoiw what shape the front axle openings are?

You mean the Matab. It's Superfast and therefore outside the scope of this thread.

I'm glad to finish the 11d list, inclusive the Pre-Pro with its details.

Hi Antonin, Very nice yellow version you now have. From the angle of the base image we can not quite see the front axle hole type. Are these also elongated please?

I have checked it and the Pre-Pro model has the same elongated holes as the standard models.
