Sellers beware

I recently sold some Regular Wheel models including a #30c Faun 8 wheel crane. The winning bid was a wopping 99 pence. The winning bidder was c.n.collectables. I charged £4.99 for signed for Royal Mail delivery, I then wrapped up this model carefully and placed it in a sturdy box which was well sealed.

The buyer has now left me neutral feedback stating that he felt my postage charges were too high. OMG what the F**k is going on with some people???????? If you don't like my postage charges.......don't bloody bid!!!!!!!!!

I have sent a request for feedback to be removed and banned this guy from bidding again on my eBay sales. What a chancer!!!!!

My unblemished eBay record ruined by a total jerk!!!

All kinds of nut jobs are out there. I recently received a negative from one of these whack-O's. It's just one feedback, and not the end of the world. Also, it's highly unlikely ebay will alter the feedback.

I get abit up set over some of the postal charges but like the 1st casting of 23a the seller would not send for less than
$26 (US) but as I wanted the model I had to pay the price of postage,

So the buyer either excepts the postage or doe;s not bid on the item.

If you sent it first class signed for it the postage charge would be £4.45,second class signed for £3.95,has you charged £4.99 for p/p ebay will charge you £0.50 and paypal around £0.15 which means if you sent it first class signed you have lost £0.10 plus the cost of the box and packing,if you sent it second class signed for, ebay and paypal would still charge you the same £0.65 so this would leave you £0.40 to cover the cost of the box and packing,i mention these costs because a vast majority of buyers are unaware of the charges ebay and paypal levy just on the postage,it really does make a difference when posting abroad where the postal charges are a lot higher ,you charges are very fair ,the feedback was not fair,but the seller paid £6 for a £1 toy,he should be mad at himself not you.
Just a thought for buyers,when you see postal charges,don,t think of them has post and packing,think of them has petrol and parking,because you are getting the item to your door,thinking like this helps to justify buys for £0.99 and the p/p charges.

postal charge is why I always demand a bundle of cars per box
epay US strongly discourages this as they live for inflated/invented fees,1 win 1 ship... to get the $ bonus
so much that they have coerced US postal to falsely inflate costs and restrict options
thru epay system $6-12/ 1 car $8-18/ 2-10 cars these arrive no faster or safer, with only 10% recovery on a claim
USPS walk in or other business account $2-4/ 1-3 cars $5-15 /5-20 cars under $30 /25-40 cars
other countries have noted this free $$ and increased fees because they can
use to buy a lot from Andrew in canada $5-7 a box full,now he has trouble getting bids as $2-4 cars cost $12-20 to post over
for UK epay I add 70% to any bid for fees/costs ($1 = $1.70)
AUS is 250%
but conversely other goods thru a retailers system are cheaper to buy and have delivered from UK canada,china, japan than outright in US identical item in Us $45 from UK $23.50

Hello,
I left you neutral not negative feedback as my query about the excessive postage was not addressed. I think that it is ridiculous to pay 5 times the value of an item when it is 99pence. Any item posted though Royal Mail with a proof of postage is insured for up to £20. Items do not go missing in our postal system in my experience as a buyer and a seller over a long period of time.

Paypal and ebay won't entertain a claim from a seller unless the item is sent tracked so sellers are invariably in a no win situation. If a buyer does not like the stated p+p costs then he should not bid in the first place, regardless of what he ended up paying for the model. Sounds like he would have been happier if he had paid £6 for the model so that the p+p would have been less than the model. Consolation is that the feedback is only there for 12 months max Al so it will ultimately disappear from your record at the top, very aggravating though mate.

He effectively wanted me to give him the Matchbox model for nothing!!! I would not make any money from my sales on eBay if I just gave my lots away for nothing. The guy is clearly a chancer and no doubt he plays his little 'give me discount' game with every seller.

I am laughing now but I was seething at the time. I did reply to him just to remind him that it can take years to build a good reputation but it only takes a few seconds to destroy it!!!

My only regret is that I wrapped and boxed up this model really well to protect the model in transit. I now wish that I had just shoved it in an envelope!!!

Most of the models that I buy I pay more in postage than I do for the model.
As mentioned if the buyer was not prepared to pay the postage (which was clearly stated) then they should not have bid.
If the buyer isn't happy in this case, then they have no one to blame but themselves!! Some types just will never take responsibility for their own actions though and are always looking to blame others.
