I found this in a friends antique shop, luckily the 'G' badge caught my eye, hmmmm, I recall seeing that many years ago on the MCCH,
The 'G' stands for Gates of Woodford, the Ford main dealer, Gates are still in business and I found this Gateshistory page on tinternet
http://www.gates.co.uk/about-us/
also a pair of Lesney bus pics and a factory pic that I had not seen before

A well known item, and I have an example in the collection. Like the customer card with it, I don't have one with mine.

Just put "Lesney bus" in Google and select "Images". There's a lot on there but you need a bit of patience to trawl all the links.

Or try "Matchbox Staff Bus" - again you need some patience but it brings up a few more photos.

I found the bus photos in google while searching for pictures of Hackney council refuse lorries to use on Hugh's yellow 38a refuse truck prepro thread.
