Nick has an Austin A40 without a maker - http://www.vintagebritishdiecasts.co.uk ... herite.htm

It seems to be made by Betal (Glasman) from East London, can anyone confirm that?

Hi John,
Yes sure looks like it. I had a very similar car years ago, looked like a copy of a Dinky 30 series Rolls, or a very poor 40a Riley? It wasn't until the wonderful world of the internet that I ever found out who made these.
Cheers
CW.

Yes I agree it looks to be a Betal... got several of them downstairs somewhere and cannot recall where3 I eventually confirmed Betal as the manufacturer...

I agree with this model coming from 'BETAL' but I have never been happy with what model Austin it is based on. It is generally accepted as A30/A35 (A35 has a larger rear screen than the A30), but one must wonder what they were looking at when they decided to make it...

Thanks everyone, with the three side windows I was initially guessing it may have been a Devon. Perhaps it was conceived after a liquid lunch :D
