39B Pontiac
Greetings friends, I was going to include a photo with this post but I've given up on Photobucket. Is it my computer or are others having incredible frustrations with getting things to load on Photobucket?
Anyway, can we agree that examples of the 39B Pontiac convertible with gray plastic wheels are harder to find than examples with either black or silver plastic wheels?
I've had an example with a black base and 9x24 GPW for some time but just now this week finally found an example with a maroon base and 9x20 GPW. Have others found this variation to be rather elusive?
Using Ghosty's input I've taken a crack at an alternative image hosting option. Here's the two gray-wheeled Pontiacs:

Re: 39B Pontiac
Thank you Kevin. I'll move on from Photobucket.
But hey, any input on the Pontiacs?

Greg, I was having a frustrating time with photobucket too. I decided to try it without the advertising and signed up to pay the small monthly fee. It works perfectly and very fast without all the advertisements. I've a couple thousand photos stored there and it is my cloud back-up for so many failed hard drives. So, photobucket is my only source for hundreds of those photos. Dumping them is not an option for me.matchbox_n_molars wrote:Greetings friends, I was going to include a photo with this post but I've given up on Photobucket. Thank you so much for the Christmas gift & card, seasons greetings to you and yours!
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Hi Greg, glad I could help with some alternative image hosting sites. I can not help with the Pontiac, I do not own any examples yet, but pretty sure there are other forum members with, so hope they come forward and comment.

Hi Greg, yes the maroon base version with grey 9x20 wheels has been harder to find for me. I do have a couple of models but playworn as usual. My ones are both separate steering wheel type.

Thanks for the input Jason. This one too has the separate red steering wheel. It has some chipping but largely in very presentable condition.nearlymint wrote:Hi Greg, yes the maroon base version with grey 9x20 wheels has been harder to find for me. Thanks Greg! We did a 2 1/2 week road tour of the Southeast USA visiting 7 States and many cool sites. Truly enjoyed the landscape, sights, culture, and met MANY nice folks. Didn't get very close to Ohio, but on the docket for the future..................matchbox_n_molars wrote:

I checked my 39B yellow Pontiacs and also have the black base model with 24 tread GPW (white seats and white steering wheel) and the maroon base with 20 tread GPW (cream seats and red steering wheel). The black based model is in excellent shape and the maroon based model has some edge wear so my recollection is that it was somewhat harder to find.
Sorry to hear about photo bucket. I haven't tried to download photos for awhile, but it sounds like it is not working well. I know the last time I visited the site, it was LOADED with ads and very slow.
