I had this model when new and found it partnered my Corgi M-Benz quite well, so was played with but carefully, none of my models were ill-treated.

Is the white wall version a pre-production? I have never seen one before.

I'm with you on that one Bob. I was going to comment on the white wall tires too. Makes the wheels look bigger. I assume this is from the early 80's when Matchbox were doing the white wall tires on the Yesteryear models. May be a spin off from this? Any ideas ?

was one of the very first variations I had of the K48A Mercedes 350 SLC. At first I did not pay much attention to it although over the years I never
came across another one like it. Sorry I cannot contribute any more info.
