USA SELLERS POSTAGE RIP OFF!!

What is happening with American sellers who continually try to over charge on the postage. This guy must take first prize for his sky high postage charges....I doubt he will have that many overseas bidders. Does it seriously cost this seller $52.00 to send one boxed matchbox car?? who is he trying to kid. What a W*****

I have just noticed that he has a feedback history of (1) sale.........i think that will be his last!!

I have to say that he is not the only one placing big sums on their postage costs, olddiecasttoys is another seller who charges way too much for postage at $35.00, to name but one.

A great way to do business and a complete RIP OFF!!! E bay needs to crack down on blatant attempts at profiteering like this.

We might have an alternative to ebay very soon. I have been delving into the new VBD Auction site all day. It's nearly ready, I hope to upload the first couple of auctions tomorrow. watch this space!.

It is nothing new to see huge amounts for postage from the US&A and no real point moaning as it will never change.

We need a new site so fingers crossed Nick finds it of interest.

McNair55, I disagree that the Germans own us.

Are we not still paying the Yanks our War dues from WWII?

The Americans only entered the war to make Money!!................wait a minute isn't that what they always do!!

Maybe these high fees are from the bizarre "ebay global shipping" scheme, where packages are sent to a centralized facility by the seller, who then sends them to the winner?

http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation ... ogram.html

The fees it charges to the buyer are pretty high, maybe 3x what one would expect for normal first party shipping.

There's always a way around this, if one doesn't like shipping costs, don't bid  ...ebay is an American company after all. An about war, some do it for money, some for ego...neither are superior.
