#48 Sports Boat with GPW

Post by tjlglass »

How rare do we rate this one, this is the 1st one I've picked up on my travels and have been looking for ages.

You're on a bit of a roll Tim! Nicely done.
I found one of these at a vintage toy store in Cincinnati years ago at a rather reasonable price. On a couple of occasions since I've seen one on the table of a rather high-end American collector/dealer. On a rarity scale of 1-100 I would call this an 85. Maybe a tad higher. What do you think?

I have only found 3 of them in the last 25-30 years.

Prolly agree with you Greg tough to find but not impossible. Unfortunately the tow hook is broken on this one and will be putting it on eBay unless a collector on here wants to inbox me an offer ?

This is the only one I've ever had Nick.

If the hook was there I would Al. Still had to rescue it and it wasn't too expensive.

I hadn't noticed the broken hitch. That's a darn shame. Still, as you said Tim, well worthy of being rescued and surfaced in the collector community. Someone will be delighted to have that toy and at an affordable price I would think. Good luck!

Very good find Tim, I have never found one here but got one in a trade from the US.
