Well done! It is kind of fun to find one of those early ones that you know had to be made pretty close to when those reverse colored models rolled off the line. Congrats!!

Nice find Tim, so does it have the same details as a 'Reverse Wrecker' such as the very low ejection circle on the top of the winch casting and Lesney on the tyres etc.

Mine did, the only exception was it had the common later base. I've had several w/o silver trim that had the low ejector ring and "Lesney" wheels also with the later base. From what I've seen (and I've seen a bunch of them) the boom modification and the base modification happened at the same time or close to it.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Very nice Tim. As its such an early piece you should check the paint chips to see if it is made from repainted reverse colour components, like Mick's sms88 one with a green pickup bed overpained in yellow.

After reading the other thread about Toymart and that suspected fake wrecker I must confess that this was bought from him. Saying that this does look legit and the silver front spray looks masked, it also has LESNEY on the wheels and the sunken casting ring. Imho this is ok and is going in my display anyway, didn't cost a lot.

That's my thinking Greg as he wasn't asking top $ and got it for a decent price.
