Lovely assembly of Lesney treasure! And I learned a new word today, "vitrine"! I'll try to use it later today in a sentence! :D

Really impressive to see all those models from the golden era . . . in the vitrine ;)

Very nice display case Mathias.
And the cars inside are great; late 50s early 60s. Very tasty (metaphorically speaking)!
Is the front of the case one piece of glass which pulls up to open? Makes for a nice clear display with no seam down the middle.

Have finished up making a small vitrine for my newly started collection Yesteryear models. I made it myself, out of reclaimed materials that were all found on "big trash day" The wood, the glass -which I cut to size- the hinges, knob for the door, even the stain for the wood, all found on the side of the road, waiting to be thrown away... so total cost 0 ! Of course I did put some time into making it., but that was enjoyable and material that would have otherwise ended up in the dump was reclaimed and turned into something useful :D
The vitrine is filling up faster than I thought. However, I do have enough materials to make another, so it will be time to get back out to the workshop again.
