Lovely assembly of Lesney treasure! And I learned a new word today, "vitrine"! I'll try to use it later today in a sentence!

Really impressive to see all those models from the golden era . . . in the vitrine

Very nice display case Mathias.
And the cars inside are great; late 50s early 60s. Very tasty (metaphorically speaking)!
Is the front of the case one piece of glass which pulls up to open? Makes for a nice clear display with no seam down the middle.

Have finished up making a small vitrine for my newly started collection Yesteryear models. I made it myself, out of reclaimed materials that were all found on "big trash day" The wood, the glass -which I cut to size- the hinges, knob for the door, even the stain for the wood, all found on the side of the road, waiting to be thrown away... so total cost 0 ! Of course I did put some time into making it., but that was enjoyable and material that would have otherwise ended up in the dump was reclaimed and turned into something useful
The vitrine is filling up faster than I thought. However, I do have enough materials to make another, so it will be time to get back out to the workshop again.
