I recently got a Scammell Articulated Container Truck and I'am a bit unsure what this really is. It has the 7UP colours (white tractor, green trailer, white container with green roof) but the containers have areal labels with a german advertisement. At the front of the container you clearly see the outline of the small 7UP label underneath the larger white label (picture 3), what makes me think it is not a code 1. The labels look very professionally made. Code 2/Code 3?
I got it in a mixed lot from ebay. Any ideas?

Thank you for the nice comments. This is the first time I have seen this variation. If I had to take a guess, I will say that this was a promotion for the business so I would categorize it as code 3.

Charliep, As you well know I have been following your posts with great interest. In fact the models you have been so kind in sharing with us has peaked my interest in Super Kings produced from 1971-1982 that I have decided to start collecting those models. I have never seen most of the models produced after 1971 as I am (or was) a pre-1970 collector. But now I am full tilt into the Super Kings. I would say thank you but I have to have a long discussion with my wife as to why I am starting another collection and that will be tough row to hoe. But thanks anyway.

I do have a question for you. On most post you list the year issued but there are a few that don't have the year. Such as the K70A Porsche Turbo. Could you please keep including the issue date as this is new territory for me and I have no information on it other that what I have copied from your post?

Hi Jim,

Thank you for the kind remarks and welcome to the world of superkings. I have posted the year of issue for the K70A Porsche (1979). Somehow that part was overlooked, sorry. I don't mind sharing pictures of my collection and as I find time I will post more. It takes me a while (sometimes hours) to make these postings as often times I have to go through my duplicates that are stowed away, try to find the empty boxes, and get the right settings outside (weather permitting). Then I have to match the description with the picture of the model and download it in the right sequence. Some of the previously posted posts I plan to revise and update in the near future. I keep finding variations ( added 3 more variations of the K17 since I made this posting), and as I said before it is like navigating in uncharted water so to speak, and I have to keep good notes as I don't have much to go by with. The issue I have right now is that I am completely out of display shelf space and I may have to move some of the MOYs/DYs to make room for the ever growing superking collection. It certainly keeps me busy which is a good thing.
