Worth noting that early examples have a punched rivet above the rear axle, whilst later examples are spun (c.f. 10c and M10a). My guess that is that there will be some kind of correlation between the rivet finish and the shape of the rear cross-brace, but Lesney stock-keeping being what it was, I would also expect crossover models to exist.

You can see the M-5A Massey Ferguson Combine Harvester model here on my 1965 Matchbox display at the Matchbox Club German gathering in Maastricht (The Netherlands) march 25th this year.

Interesting of note is that I have placed all the models according to the 1965 trade catalogue as shown here but it is the only model facing leftwards.

There have been made special holes in the cardboard holding this model.
Maybe the people at Lesney thought this model was more interesting from the left side ?

I've never seen an enhanced driver that was a separate part. I suspect the black paint may not be original.
