K22C SRN6 Hovercraft - issued 1974. All England cast.

1. Grey & black hull, yellow upper & black window section. Three black & one orange drive wheel. No labels. Chrome accessories. (Prepro).
2. Blue hull w/white base & window section. Three black & one white drive wheel. SRN6 & Seaspeed label w/flag to rear. Chrome accessories.
3. Blue hull w/white base & window section. Three black & one white drive wheel. SRN6 & Seaspeed label w/flag to front. Chrome accessories.
4. Blue hull w/white base & window section. Four black wheels. SRN6 & Seaspeed label w/flag to front. Chrome accessories.
5. White/black hull w/red window section. Four black wheels. SRN6 & Seaspeed label w/flag to front. Chrome accessories.
6. White hull & window section w/blue upper. Four black wheels. SRN6 & Seaspeed label w/flag to front. Chrome accessories.

Lovely model of the Rolls-Royce Gnome powered Hovercraft. It is puzzling why the actuation wheel was a different colour, any thoughts on this Charlie!

Hi Ghosthunter,

Sorry, I have no answer to your inquiry of why the actuation (drive) wheel was produced in different colors. At first I thought it maybe to help distinguish it from the other 3 on the assembly line but they produced the majority of them in black.
I would like to add also that the actuation wheel can be found either on the left or right side although the vast majority are found on the front left side.

Thank's Charlie. I had noticed they designed the baseplate wheel aperture to allow for what you say about left or right fitment.
