My Matchbox purchases have been few and far between this year but I did pick up this piece recently off ebay. I don't remember seeing a piece with this dark blue ash tray before. Does this look like an original Lesney offering?

Most definitely Greg. The dark blue trays are a wee bit harder to find though.

Featured in the 1971 Giftware catalogue with it's light blue and black counterparts. I have never seen the light blue example.

I finally got that Lamborghini but no light blue tray for it - its on an elongated long black tray instead. Took many years to find that giftware model

These are my five different colours, all the others are on Black pieces or on Silver trays and different boxes.
The two Greens are Light and Dark Green.

Nice collection there George. You kept those under wraps! I didn't know you collected giftware.
The black one at the front of the photo on the right, there seem to be loads of these around but not so many of the other ones.
The Ford Model T dose not look like it fits to well on that pot thing. You think they would have used a narrower model.
Cheers, Steve
