None of the NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition), the AIM's “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983) Stannard, Houghton and Leake ("Concise Catalogue of 75 Series Matchbox Toys by Lesney" (4th edition, reprinted 2006)) has any variations not already recorded by Nick.
U.K. Matchbox examined the model in Vol. 3 no. 5 (Jul. '82) p82 but does not list any new variations.

Re: 23a Berkeley Cavalier Caravan
Just a note for the code 1 without axle cover braces, my code 1 models also lack a brace inside on the base. My code 2 and 3 have the brace inside which I have tried to show in the picture, there may be models without the axle cover braces but with the brace inside. Will be one to look out for if you manage to find any without the axle cover braces.

Re: 23a Berkeley Cavalier Caravan
I have checked my models Jason. I have the same variation like you have, without axle cover braces/no inner brace.
