Been driving me nuts, why do all the others have black bases, or is that not really significant. I thought the variations in vintage Star Wars figures was perplexing but wow, there seems to be a lot to learn with vintage die cast variations

Nicholas Martin's site has lots of info on the Budgie models including some info about the variations.

The bases on the N° 19 seem to have been finished in either gloss black or mat black, so your unpainted base is interesting. Perhaps a batch went down the line without being painted??
