Original Decals

Hi all, I am looking to buy 2 original #41 decals for a 41b Jaguar. I know several of these sheets sold at auction and would like to know if anyone can help. I am not interested in reproduction decals.

To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever publicly offered or sold decals from the left over sheets of original decals. The few sheets I know about went into collections as whole sheets and the owners would never consider cutting up any of these sheets.

It's been speculated some of the leftover sheets have been cut and the decals used for fraudulent purposes. This is speculation as no one has ever come forward with any direct proof of such activity. Besides, a high quality silk screened decal, on good decal paper stock, can mimic an original decal in looks and feel. That would be far cheaper to make than cutting up a very valuable sheet of old decals (which may or may not fall into pieces when attempting to apply)

Reproduction decals are like reproduction tires, reproduction treads and so on ... better than nothing, even if they are not original.
