What is this?

Does anyone recognize this toy?
It doesn't have a country of origin or a manufacturers name on the base. It does seem to have a maker's mark or logo but I don't recognize it.
Any insights appreciated.

I think it is a badly cast 'DONETSK' logo, a Russian company distributing toy, hobby and plastic kits onto their markets.

It's probably that.
Donetz made italian toys copies. And it seems to be a Politoys #540 cast.

That could be right Kevin... I have a Russian made toy that is very similar - unfortunately buried in my storage locker at present so no photo from me...

Just for the sake of accuracy: if it is "Donetsk", it is not Russian but Ukrainian, for the city of Donetsk is located in the country of Ukraine.
Back when this model was made, Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union together with Russia and other states, but still it was not Russia.
It is a bit like calling a Corgi or Husky model English rather than Welsh.

But isn't Donetsk - like Crimea - a part of Russia in the meantime?
