Some great sets there Daz, of course I have the Thunderbirds sets, Three different issues if I remember correctly, plus a Japanese set that has the British Matchbox "FAB 1" instead of the Japanese made model.

It may have something to do with the fact that this is the allegedly scarcer issue containing the GMC Wrecker with the misspelled "POLIOE".

I do not think they ever made this in England - AFAIK all of those Matchbox Thunderbirds models were made in China.

Those were made in 1992/3, and the very last Matchbox diecast models made in England were produced in 1987.

I think Daz meant he was going to be looking for the Japanese Thunderbirds set with the British "FAB 1" model, under the impression there was a set with a Japanese model inside.

To make it clearer, Bandai issued a Thunderbirds set that includes the Matchbox "FAB 1" model instead of their own Japanese made "FAB 1" model. Set shown below.
