The most cherished Lone Star the Vauxhall Firenza was the only model of the 70s classic until the very nice Oxford Diecast release this year
Like most Flyers there is a more varied range of colours than the Impy's
Two variations to look for are the Budget Rental promotional, which is white with a red interior and has the Budget label on the roof
The other variation is an export model in left hand drive and has the Vauxhall name deleted from the rear of the car
The boot is cast shut but the doors open as does the bonnet revealing a fair representation of the slant four engine
The models shown are all mine the orange one was a trade with Nick and the blue with blue windows was a trade with Ghosty , for which I am very grateful to both of you
The darker blue with amber windows is an export model
The off white one is a repaint

These are being sold on eBay and are extremely good reproductions in resin , cast without opening features they're a very good alternative to the genuine article
There was also a Droopsnoot available ( so far as a one off) but sadly I was outbid

Interesting piece of Vauxhall advertising from early 70a
A good use of the promotional collaboration with Lone Star to show the colours available across the whole Vauxhall range
I wonder if they used genuine Vauxhall paint or matched it at Lone Star

Here is the official full-size car Firenza launch colours and the cars were painted with Acrylic paint. Vauxhall claim to be the 1st mass production car company to utilise this formula.

Where you read 1972.5, this is the mid-Year period when specification changes were done to some cars.
