No fix that I know of, but I can no longer use 'PB', it makes my laptop get veryhot then crashesand becomes locked up, forcing a reboot with the power button. It seems 'PB' are constantly messing about with the platfoem code and if you are using the free account version, it is bogged down with flash videos of adverts.

I recommend you choose another image host...

Imgr.
Photoshack.
Smugmug.
Tinypic.
Googlepictures.

...and start a new account with one of those. Do not remove any pictures on your 'PB' account or else they will be removed from forum postings, so even if you stop using 'PB', leave all your previous pictures in place.

I've noticed PB has been having more and more adds and whole pages of adds. Sounds like time to move on

I have not tried Google photos (pictures) or whatever it is called, but you might want to try this...

As a workaround you may open the image you want to link to, right-click, copy the image URL, and use it in the code. Note, however, that such URLs link to reduced versions of images and may or may not break.

Let us know the results.

I wonder if it's the way people set up their computers that causes the PB problems. I've used it for years on several different machines (PC's, laptops, net books, smart phone) and never had a problem. I use Adblock plus on all browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) and regularly update Spybot, Malwarebytes, C Cleaner, and Avast. Scan systems once a week with all of the above and delete all crap found. OS is widows 10 on PC, and 7 & 10 on the laptops. 7 runs a bit slow now, but no real problems. Biggest pains in the butt are Norton and Macafee. These will slow any machine down 3 fold, and most new machines come with them pre installed. I always remove them straight away and install Avast. All the above tools (not Norton & Mcafee) are freeware.
