Ebay sellers getting continous great prices

Hi everyone

Anyone ever noticed certain sellers on ebay getting excellent prices for their models every time they auction them off, I can think of one in particular who regular sells models of different brands and people just seem to bid stupid prices on them, what confuses me is most the time the models for sale are just mediocre common one's and I purchase the same quality matchbox from ebay for often 50% cheaper and they listed at the same time as this seller's listings.

All I can say I would love to know how they do it, must have lots of very loyal customers that's all I can think of.

As Graham (Rocketron) has proved time and time again, a good reputation helps an awful lot when it comes to getting good prices, even for common models. However, I have no doubt that other, less principled sellers,have their own ways of ensuring high hammer prices.

Hi all

Yes I do understand about trust going a long way, I also have sellers I repeatedly buy from and I have had plenty of model's myself from Rockertron and I am always happy with them, it's just one of the seller's I am thinking of is not mentioned once in the trusted sellers thread on this forum and they also have negative feedback but still seem to do brilliantly every auction.

I will also add that I have had the same model's up for sale on ebay and my feedback is 100% and I never got no where near what another got for their's, and before anyone says anything I take clear photos of my listings from different angles, I give an accurate description all the time, notify of dispatch and nearly always dispatch within one working day, plus I also take great care in my packaging...oh and very low postage costs etc.
