Things I Kept.

Post by kerbside »

Hello Antonin in my earlier days I too collected Corgi and Dinky, but I let a lot go to finance my Matchbox 1-75 collection.

But I did keep a few things back among them are these ones.

I also kept my Noddy models and my Batman Models, and of course my Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

George, the first Two will pay you back handsomely, they are true investment purchases, you will never see the 'Magic Roundabout' set for less than £1.000 boxed!

I can see why you kept these! The rally set is superb with its display plinth, and I just love the Magic Roundabout.

These are all beautiful! The Magic Roundabout set is fantastic, as is the Monte-Carlo set. It's hard to believe that this 3-car set had the exact same price as the Corgi Classics Silver Ghost when new. And today you can get a MIB Silver Ghost for £20 and the Monte-Carlo set goes for £1,000 to £2,000 ...

I have just noticed an interesting variation of your Aston Martins: The DB6 that's standing on the corner of the Octopussy set has clear windows. I think that's the earlier 1001 (with the larger wheels) which normally only come with blue tinted windows. I had never seen one with clear windows until an ebay listing last week, and now there is another! :)
