Very nice Bill,congrats. :D
This truly is one of the hardest boxes to lay your hands on and if they do come up for sale then the competition is high with high end-prices.

Hi Numi & All, I think the last one I saw at auction fetched around £3000 plus commission Pete.

Holy Crap I payed no wheres near that for this box. I was on the bay one day and this lot of cars came up on a search I have for vintage Lesney. I noticed the type E box for the 34b in the lot which was not advertised in the title and expected it to go way more than I payed for it. Based on the value of the other cars in the lot I roughly spent 500 USD. for the box. I beat MULL64 for it :D :D A good price compared to what Pete said.

I am super excited since this is my first ultra rare box in the collection.

great find Bill...congrats!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.
