Censored posts

Hugh
I'm sorry you didn't like my answer to your post re Brexit and said that it would go 'somewhere else'
I am sure we could have all discussed it as grown up adults that we are without locking the post. Was it because you didn't like my answers, a fact most of the countries political leaders ignored was what the common man actually thought and a disaster befell them. I find it sad for someone to make a comment, get a reply and then lock it - almost like Brexit on here do you think??

I would agree that locking the post looked a lot like "sour grapes"!
I do not agree with Micks comments. A country the colonised nearly half the world that has got something against immigration is a bit controverse.
The referendum does need quantifying by the Government, so Hugh is correct, the Government is not legally bound to accept the decision although they would be silly not to.
I just hope all the promises Boris, Nigel and the rest made come to fruition. We will see, a bit of back peddling has already started!
I like Mick got out of Britain because I saw a better future elsewhere, now I am glad I did.

If England lose to Iceland tonight my week will be truly f**ked

Mick i recon a PM to Hugh would have been more appropriate than starting this thread on the open forum.

First of all, no posts were censored. All that happened was that a thread was locked.
Although it may have seemed like sour grapes on my part (and I was all too aware of that when I did it), I felt that the thread was in danger of descending very quickly into seriously viscous politicised arguments, which no one would ever win and which would only have created bad blood and considerable ill feeling. (I have already seen this happen with referendum discussions on other boards and so have no wish to see it happen here.)
I have received two requests via PM to delete the thread concerned, and that has now been done.

I strongly suggest that we put this episode behind us and move on, concentrating, as it says in the Forum's title, on vintage British diecasts.

Neither myself on anybody else complained that not enough members post on the forum. Any previous discussions were to identify ways that would encourage non posters to post, that my friend makes good sense and ensures that the forum stays alive.

If my recollection is right you also previously accused us of condemning non posters!! :?

You're choice of words is poor at times Rod imho.

Motormann,

"I appreciate your comments Motormann and Ghostie.
Perhaps " condemn" was the wrong word, written in haste"

Taken from a previous post.

I deliberately did not mention names! If you feel spoken too, OK.
I chose my words to suit my mood, no one else's. If this offends you I apologise. I will however not change my tone to suit a mimose.

Ok Rod, you may not have deliberately mentioned names, however it does not take a detective to work out who you were referring to, seeing as the only contributors so far on this thread have been Hugh, Reg and myself.

I believe Hughes decision to lock the original 'Great Britain is back' thread was the correct one for all the correct reasons. This forum is not a platform for wannabe political commentators to let rip with their personal opinions. If that is not to your satisfaction then tough.

I will comment no further on this subject.
