I went to the Wellington Toy and Die Cast Fair at the weekend bought these bits;

I like the old model kit sets. I had a number of the aeroplanes and tank kit sets when I was young. I also have all the catalogues in all sorts of different languages. I pick them up if they are reasonably priced. This one cost $12.00. Usually if you see them for sale over here they go for $25 to $30. So it was a good buy and it's complete.

I also got these soldiers still attached to the plastic spurs. The box is a bit squashed but for $3.00 I was happy.

This Yesteryear pipe stand is very nice too. I didn't have this one but now I do. $12.00.

Nothing spectacular here but when I was sorting out my models I didn't have this one. Have all the variations but had over looked the standard one!

Looks like you had a good weekend at the fair with a wide diversity of Matchbox items.
Did I miss a photo of the catalog? Which catalog did you pick up?
Happy hunting!

Hi Kurt,
I worded that a bit wrong. I didn't pick up any catalogues. It was the kit set I picked up.
Here are some photo's of the swap meet;

Come on Gavin lets see what goodies you came away with from the toy fair. I've never seen you come away with nothing!

Thank you for clarifying Steve.
It looks like there were many trays of diecast to peruse including at your table plus the catalogs at your table.
Sounds like a great way to spend a winter day!

The plastic kit Rolls-Royce shown at the start of this thread is a very nice kit to build. The actual example looks to be the first version from 1982 (yes, even in the kit World there are versions!), and the model is based on a real car once owned by a Mr Oppenheimer, the Diamond King and he had a secret compartment laid into the floor of this Rolls-Royce for reasons known best to Him...!
The kit was re-issued in a slightly different box in 1983 and then a later version exists from 2009 re-packaged by Revell.
The car is effectionately known as the "Black Diamond" car.
