I finally had some time to finish up a couple of quick restos. I bought the two FC 's from Ebay. I had them for a while as I tried to figure out what to use as a belt. Finally found some elastic hem material 3/4 in wide that looks close enough for me. I touched up the nicks and chips and put on new tires on both models. Then I cut and glued the material. Now I have to finish up the other two belts.

This is one of the two after washing and new tires but before paint touch up . when you work on these models you realize just how many special castings there were. Amazing for a toy that at the time cost a couple of bucks.

A really nice effective restoration that seems to have taken just a little effort and some clever thinking for the replacement belt, I like it.
