Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

I had been looking for a long time, when Christian added the picture of the one he had found, it was the first one I had seen.

Now we know how to tell the genuine reverse colour dumpers from the fakes!
Re: 2c Muir hill new variation
Great find!
Re: 2c Muir hill new variation
Just had a thought: we now have the possibilities of there also being two rare crossovers, I) chassis with block, tipper without, and ii) tipper with stop block, chassis without.Idris wrote:Now we know how to tell the genuine reverse colour dumpers from the fakes!
Re: 2c Muir hill new variation
If I'm looking at the right bit the one J has found has a stop block on the tipperIdris wrote:Just had a thought: we now have the possibilities of there also being two rare crossovers, I) chassis with block, tipper without, and ii) tipper with stop block, chassis without.Idris wrote:Now we know how to tell the genuine reverse colour dumpers from the fakes!

J's has stop blocks both on the chassis and on the tipper.fixer wrote:If I'm looking at the right bit the one J has found has a stop block on the tipperIdris wrote:Just had a thought: we now have the possibilities of there also being two rare crossovers, I) chassis with block, tipper without, and ii) tipper with stop block, chassis without.Idris wrote:Now we know how to tell the genuine reverse colour dumpers from the fakes!
Re: 2c Muir hill new variation
sorry i thought J's was the top one without the chassis stop block as it looks to have a block on the tipper

Re: 2c Muir hill new variation
I never noticed this before, as I simply never looked closely at that part of the model, but now I can confirm that my example without the hole also has no stop blocks on both chassis and tipper.
Jason's is therefore not really a new variation, but the same as mine.
The question now is if there are examples with hole and without stop blocks, and/or without hole and with stop blocks, in addition to the chassis/tipper stop block combinations as mentioned above.
