Seeking source of the vac-formed clear plastic "lids" for the cardboard plinth based Dinky vehicles e.g. Dinky 410 Bedford vans on the high plinth, Dinky military vehicles on plinths, etc
Also looking for a source for the hard plastic/acrylic display lids and bases for Dinky toys.
I have discovered a lot of my John Gay issues have developed brittle tops despite being stored in the dark and many of my other issues are also "browning up"...

You won't find original 'Lids' and will have to opt for modern reproductions, so try somebody who knows about Dinky and all that brand carries with it...http://www.thedinkygarage.co.uk/thedink ... Boxes.html
I have not used or handled any of this company's products so can only go on what is described within their website, but at least it is somewhere for you to start.

Hey Ian
Find another link below to DRRB eBay store, plenty of vacuformed late model Dinky plinth covers, no Bedford listed at this point in time but you can ask the question.
Cheers

Thanks Dave - but have already approached DRRB directly - they don't produce one for the 410... or the other ones I'm after!RSSierra wrote:Hey Ian

There is a mint boxed 410 Bedford with cover and plinth on TM at the moment with a low start price, you could use the cover from that if you have a higher value version you want to complete.

Thanks Kevin - now that I have hada chance to look at their site I can report back that they only seem to handle a very limited selection of card boxes and not the clear lids I'm looking forGHOSTHUNTER wrote:You won't find original 'Lids' and will have to opt for modern reproductions, so try somebody who knows about Dinky and all that brand carries with it...http://www.thedinkygarage.co.uk/thedink ...
