This book was designed as a companion to 'The Great Book of Corgi' but when I got my copy I was a little dissapointed, it was not in the same class as the Corgi book, it loses something in the way it is laid out and the choice of information, however, it has become another reference work and the fact it has come from the doyen of authors for all things Meccano, Mike and Sue Richardson, it is seen as the book to have for Dinky Toys covering most of the product line from the early Days upto the 1980's.
Again there are mistakes such as the Dinky Toys "FAB 1" given the wrong Year of introduction.

"The Great Book of Dinky Toys" is a great reference. I also use Richardson's earlier book as a useful reference (although mine is a later version than that quoted below and includes "Vol 4A The Dinky Toys Compendium"). I still find information I was "unaware" of, despite reading both books several times and using them regularly to help identify models in my collection.
