Travel to the British Isles

We are planning a trip to the British Isles (specifically Scotland) in early May.
I've heard of Barras' Market on Saturdays in Glasgow.
Does anyone have any other suggestions on any toy fairs or how to find a boot sale?
Thank you
Kurt

The NEC Birmingham is on the 8th of May and if you Google toy fairs several lists appear I use the collectors club site this gives quite a good selection of fairs
Regards bootsales it would be best to ask around the local area you are staying in

...and "Motorman" is up in that part of our little Island, so he may know of some boot sales.

Hi Kurt, i hope you have a lovely time visiting Scotland mate. I used to go to the Barras Market every month but in recent years it has lost some of its appeal and you are more likely to find fake designer gear than Diecast unfortunately. There are a couple of boot fairs (links below) which can be hit and miss, I have been to them on several occasions and not found much. If you do go you need to be there very early to have the best chance of a find. Cheers

Thank's alex for those links, even if nothing diecast or Matchbox is found, I am sure Kurt will have a great Day.

Kurt, I should have added that the only swap meet in Scotland takes place at the Graham High School, Falkirk, on the first Sunday of each month, if that fits into your schedule.

Thank you all for your advice.
Since my fake designer apperal needs were met years ago, it sounds like I can skip the Barras Market.
The boot sales on Saturday and Sunday mornings sound much more fun and interesting.
And since the first Sunday in May falls on May 1 it sounds like I will not yet be in country and will miss the Falkirk Toy show.
Happy hunting!

That's a pity Kurt, it would have been good to meet up. Regardless, please enjoy Scotland!!
