#17 Mercedes Benz 220SE
#17 Mercedes Benz 220SE
Sorry for the delay on this one but I managed to miss-place my only example
A nice model even if the wheels look lost in the body usually found in this off white with the usual variety of interior colours
but there is also a stunning metallic red owned by a member which came from the same source as my metallic blue MK10 Jaguar. ..possible colour trials?

Re: #17 Mercedes Benz 220SE
Here is a Red example, very Red in fact because it has a Red interior as well!
The 'PHYSIO-CHEM' version is in a pale Grey with very light Tan interior, below.
The same model was marketed in the MINI-MITE box by SS KRESGE, but it has the heavy tread tyres as shown below.
The model is described as a Limousine on the Pee Wee (not shown here) and Mini Mite packaging, I think they were playing with marketing ideas to distance these from the Lone-Star packaged version!
The 'PEE-WEE' models were in similar fully closed boxes like the 'MINI-MITE' models, but were imported into the US by Durham Industries Inc.

Well infact it is the "big" fintail s-classlimousine, not to mix up with the 220SE Coupe from Matchbox!
The Matchbox Mercedes Ambulance is a "small" fintail type 190.

Picked up another one this time in a light grey with beige interior and rough tread tyres this has a different ejector mark on the top of the engine and lacks the silver trim on the rear number plate
