Mystery guest.Anybody know this guy?.

Post by misterpop »

I am looking at a mixed job lot of mostly Yesteryears on Ebay and one of the cars has this driver..I was wondering if anyone knew where he had come from...Is it a long lost Steed?....Could he be an important missing person from a forgotten Corgi?..I dont think he came with the car hes driving hey Kevin? Lets see if hes worth bidding on so I dont end up with a load of worthless scrappers.

Does look a dead ringer. It's certainly not Tara King :D Looking at a few google images, it seems he came in a tan suit as well as a grey one.

Not seen him in a Tan suit, are you thinking of Bertie Wooster, he is in Tan.

Hi John, I am pretty certain the figure in the Bentley in your link is a modern reproduction, the paint finish looks far too glossy for an original and it may have been painted in Tan to distance it from an original figure.

P.S. Must show it to Marmaduke, he loves Tan clothes, especially the corduroy jackets with those Brown leather elbow patches...

So the little man is an imposterI :D

As for Marmaduke, I can see him now, out in the grounds with a shotgun over his arm waiting to shoot something for lunch.
