sas auctions

Post by petethesweet »

Hi All just got back from SAS auctions Newbury toy auction. A few bits I was looking for I managed to pick up, Aston Martin D box & Vauxhall Cresta pink & green box poor. About hundred lots there I thought I had won a couple of extra lots as he dropped the hammer on my bid then took one off the internet. A few pre pro superfast overall a mixed bag, very pleased with the Cresta, sorry I cant post any photos Pete

That Cresta looks awesome Pete, one of my favourite models and I still only have very playworn versions.
Some of the other prepros look good did they fetch a good price. J

Hi the Cresta was one of models I thought I would never get. Some of the pre pros did very well the two blue cranes fetched around £70 or 80. I intended to bid but I was really cheesed off when he dropped the hammer on me then took another bid off of the internet. There were a lot of cheap lots when they had three or four of the same model. I only buy to collect. Some of the models looked a bit dodgy some of the paint on some of the models was very poor. I understand that there is going to be a large collection coming up in the summer Pete

They look like superb examples for your collection Pete and being a past Vauxhall Man, I lean towards the Cresta as my favourite of those Two, well done.

When I found my Cresta Pete, I was so pleased even though it was a real beater. Yours is a beauty, you must be over the moon (and not forgetting that lovely Aston, both with great boxes!)
