Details such as the side mirror etc look great! Pretty good for a 1:43 diecast

Great find Gerrit, do love seeing these sort of models. At least we know prototypes exist!

I found this pic in the NAMAC's magazine of this month.

The prototypes were shown at the Nuremberg Toy Fair a few weeks ago. Better pictures can be found at

Do we maybe have a Rolls-Royce connoisseur here? ;)
Is the Phantom III a Barker Sedanca de Ville? Or some other design? I ask because a Barker SdV was Goldfinger's car and would fit nicely into my collection if Oxford produce it in the "right" colours.

I'm afraid not, the Oxford Phantom III is based on a car with H.J. Mulliner coachwork, Goldfinger's car was a Barker bodied car and they are not close enough in design for a simple conversion.

"Do we maybe have a Rolls-Royce connoisseur here?" Noooo, I don't think so, haven't seen one round here... 8-)

Okay, thanks for the answer, Ghosty - although that wasn't the answer I wanted to hear. :)

The Phantom V James Young is similar to a car used in the 1967 Casino Royale spoof but the film car has single headlights, the Oxford double. Is the Oxford a Phantom VI - although they advertise it as a Phantom V?

I haven't checked this, but my initial thoughts are that Oxford have got it correct for a car with a PV22 body design. The Twin headlamps are dating the car from 1962 onwards, several Years before the Phantom VI was introduced.
