9d another gift.

Post by kerbside »

Here is a 9d model sent and given to me by Dick (kwakers) thank you. The 9d with a Light Beige interior deck, along side a normal
one just for comparison.

Very nice George! It appears the hull of the boat is a genuine white though isn't it? I wonder if there are boats with that beige color plastic for the hull of the boat.

There are Greg! You can read my comments on George's other 9D thread which featured my takeapart 9D Boat that has never been glued at the factory or even by anyone owning it since then. Dan had shown us his dark decked 9D on Georges Casting Show which has a much darker Tan floor (Light Brown to those in the U.K.) in it and a very white hull like this one. Stannard missed some odd Boat colors that are a lot of fun to find and collect.
There is a shadow in the above picture George that makes the floor look whiter on the right side. In person, George's new model has a very uniform cream floor as seen on its' left side. It may be my computer screen showing this one as two-tone?? kwakers

I think it is just a light shadow, Dick. On my screen both models have have a light/dark side. The dark floored model is just more pronounced.

Now that you mention it, I now see the left Boat's shadow is very pronounced on that right one's floor. Thanks for your observation Jay, I just don't want anyone mistaking these plastic part's colours with sunfade. kwakers

Thank you Jason for retaking the photo.
On a photo technical tangent, what changed in the lighting set up to bring up the different shades of blue?
Thank you
Happy hunting!

Kurt it was me George T; (kerbside) not Jason who retook the photo in place of my original photo, to do away with the shadow.

I just happened to pick up another boat to show the White deck, as you know I have several different colour boats

I just moved them in to a direct line of the camera eye to lose the shadow effect and nothing changed in the lighting set up.
