Roland, I am liking that very much, just make sure it is in a colour that suits the car, but nothing too dark, dark colours do not really work on the smaller models.

Ghosty, i tried to do this conversion without painting to the body. I wanted to paint the roof silk matte black ike a vinyl roof and keep the body as is. But my plan went wrong, i dremeled a little to much, so i have to start again...

That's a shame because the body colour is good, sure you can not just touch-in some fillar and matching Gold paint then finish the roof as you planned.

Roland, I did not notice this earlier, but the picture of the real car is transposed, the wipers should be parked on the left-hand side of the car, which if its a US specification car, the wipers would be right in front of the driver.
Can you correct the picture, if not I believe I can.

Dear Miller, that is just a brilliant idea, my cap against the ceiling.
I hope you don't mind that I will make an attempt to do a similar conversion?
As I am a huge 24c collector I always have a regular stock of beaters in my stable and would like to start soonest.

Hi Gerrit, i see, you can start right away while i have to wait for the next 24c donor car.
The problem is, that both rear ends look the same on the first look, but the aren´t. You will have to leave the complete windowframe around the rear window of the 24c . Then cut out the complete "rear parcel shelf" and the area for the c-pilars out of the 69 (you will probably lose the trunk hitches). This way you can sink the rear window frame and the c-pilars into the 69 body and fix it on the bestlooking position.
I guess, a SF body silver shadow would be the best roof donor. Its interior will fit better on the SF frame of the 69. Sadly my windowframe broke due to "to much precisicion work", so i will look out for a SF Silver shadow and start again.
to be continued...
