Hi all,
I have just purchased this model, looks good except for the bent and shiny axles, can see no logical reason to have changed the wheels, your thoughts are welcome, cheers and thanks in advance.

I am not an expert on this but it looks fine to me, the Silver painted trim, the seat colour, the overall body colour, the roof decal guide lines and the axle-ends which for the Grey plastic wheels and the silver plastic wheels are seen with the small axle-end on the same side of the model, that's my view.

Nice model - it has the cross decal guides on the roof which a) makes it scarce and a nice variant anyway and b) much more likely a genuine SPW model, as in my experience, SPW is the most common wheel type for the roof guides casting. There is nothing about this model that concerns me, and it will make a very nice addition to your display!
Cheers,
Gavin

Absolutely correct. Black wheels would be much rarer with this body casting!

A very nice clean example, congratulations. For me, GPW would sit in between silver and black for rarity with this casting.

I agree - I've only found GPW on the later casting. The BPW version with the roof decal guides is the rarest variation of 14c by far I think.
Cheers,
Gavin
