We need a real expert...

Post by GHOSTHUNTER »

I have come to the conclusion the forum needs a real model expert, no disrespect to the many well informed members we have here, but this thread, the 'Other UK made diecast toys' would benefit from someone who really knows this stuff.

I myself have struggled through with the occasional bit of info and cobbled together a few answers, but if we had someone like Mr Robert Newson, now that would be great, he is so busy though I doubt he would be able to find time to call in once in a while and help us out, ah well, we can but dream...

I noted our newest member earlier, but didn't want to assume it was the same person. Great news for the forum!

I know Robert of old (from the London Model Club in the 1980s). I have no doubt whatsoever that his presence here will be a real asset. Well done on twisting his arm Kevin! (I don't suppose you could do the same with Patrick Trench could you?)

Bearing in mind my addiction to models I can't identify (should be one on it's way at the moment...) I am over the moon. Massive welcome Mr Newson :D :D :D :D

Ha ha, thank you all for your kind comments. It's particularly nice to be in touch with Idris once again, when Kevin mentioned your name recently I remembered you straight away - it must be 30 years since we last met!
