Hello everyone,
I have just created an online version of my article on Lone Star Impy, Flyers and Commercials that first appeared in Diecast Collector in 2004, please have a look:-

I mentioned this to Ghosthunter last week and he told me about the Lone Star project here, it seems great minds are thinking alike in wanting to catalogue the subject!

I have not gone into any great detail of casting variations, just the major colour changes, but the article gives you a history and overview of the range, with dates, catalogue extracts, adverts, etc., so hopefully will be a starting point for further research. I will be asking to steal your photos of colour variations that I have not been able to illustrate!

Looking forward to your comments.

Hello, I have a bunch of those Physio-Chem Corporation packaged cars. I got them a few years ago from a guy who buys storage lockers out of Long Island, NY. Apparently there were a few cases of fresh new old stock pieces in one that he bought. I'll try to get a picture of the lot up later. Let me know if you want pictures of each. They are pretty sweet but the packaging is weird so they are a little tough to display.

Thank's Mike, that would be very helpful if you can supply some pictures of each one.

They are very odd types of blister where the blistered model sits between Two layers of card so it can be viewed from the front and the rear, but this made them very prone to damage.

Here is a typical 'Physio-Chem' blister carded model.

Here's a quick picture. All the ones that appear as duplicates are actually different due to interior or wheels. I have another Alfa Romeo somewhere in the package but with a cracked windshield. Interesting story about these.... If I recall I was waiting at the airport and saw these on my phone listed buy it now and pretty fair price. It was one of those BIN's where you have to pay before it completes the purchase. So not wanting to miss out I bought a bunch frantically and paid individual shipping for each. I think maybe $2.50 each. Anyway, they were shipped in bubble wrap to my horror. Amazingly there was no damage from shipping. The Alfa Romeo package was not damaged but had a factory broken windshield. He sent me another one free. I inquired about combined shipping and didn't hear back. Then a few days later he listed a bunch more, so I picked up a few more, same deal, paid individual shipping.
It may take some time to get these pictured but let me know the best way to get them to you for your website. Not sure if you can save them permanently from photobucket.

Very nice Mike, I have one of the imperial police cars on the same blister
I think we will star a boxes and blisters thread as there's several different styles and brand names used

Would someone who knows what they're looking at please write a review of this website and add it to the Lone Star section of The Reference Library? Thank you!
