This casting is one of my all time favourites and with examples found at most toy fairs they can be handy for such customs and repaints. I like the way you have done the rear wheel spats (covers), it looks like you have added the panel from inside the wheel arch that has given just the right amount of relief from the rest of the model's own arch, very good and very effective.

Nice work on the rear spats. I also like this model, although I much prefer the first issue light blue to the later dark blue one. Mind you, the number plates are better on the later issue... Your dark red suits it well.

Thanks Fred en Kevin,

In making the decision to do a code 3 conversion of this model, my personal feelings about this car in the real world played a major role.
For me, the Bentley Continentals and this one in particular, rank among the most attractive cars ever.
The beauty of it is very well duplicated in this model and therefore a valuable part of my collection.

By the way the spats are made from lexan sheet, cut to size and glued inside the wheel arch.

These little magazines are the inspiration for my username and for quite some time I had no access to them as they were all on my stricken hardrive. You will note the dates of issue, so they are very old now and some new information has likely come forward, but the bulk of the information is still valid.

During the rescue of all my folders and files from one laptop to the other (Microsoft to Mac OS X), some pages have gone missing, but I think issue No. 23, the Bentley issue, is complete, please let me know if you think a page missing.

There is a pause button at lower left of screen, that will help you read each page, please enjoy.
