I was recently contacted by Andreas Leue who sent me a few oops pictures for the next update, He also sent a few VW beetle pics that you may find interesting. First is a very rare 10x36 BPW 25b that certainly looks genuine to me, He also sent two pictures of his metallic red 15d with regular wheels, You may recall that George Marshal has an identical piece in his own collection.

I have to agree, the wheels on that beetle do look original. BPW on that model has to be in the top 5 of the most rare wheels on any model.

Wow, what a couple of beauties! The 25b with BPW is the first one that I've ever seen -- live or photo. I was beginning to think that it was just legend.
Very impressive!!
Thanks for sharing............................

I like the 15D in red! It looks to be (in the photo, anyway) a pretty close match to the actual '67 Beetle Rubinrot (ruby red for those who don't speak German).

Thank you for posting Nick - like the VW - see that this photo is on the variation guide - did you recently update that page?

Yes, yesterday,

I have seen one other BPW 25b thàt was in a mixed lot at a Lacey Scott and knight auction, Among the lot was a 33a Zodiac two tone paperweight, I was outbid. :(

I remember a BPW Beetle being sold for 150gbp+comms via Invaluable about 2yrs ago.It had a cracked front windscreen which should never have a been a detraction in my opinion and i consider this a bargain.
