When I put #69 on the casting show on page 4, dave r posted two photos of a new variation of the Yellow 69b that I had not seen before.

Since then I must have looked at over 300 models and not found one like it, but thanks to Dick (kwakers) I have now got one thank you.

One model among many he sent to me all different variations which I shall post in time.

And in such minty condition, very nice addition George. It also serves as a reminder of the benefits of building great connections with other collectors when we are able to help each other out from time to time with variations we are having trouble tracking down.

I reported on this variation about ten years ago when I posted my own catalog page for the Hatra on the MCCH. At that time many members worked on cataloging specific models in an effort to create what Nick has done (an online catalog). In his usual fashion, Mark never put the collective pages together and then deleted all of the information submitted.

Even when I posted the Stannard like catalog page (with good photos of all the models), it drew almost no comment from members. Those who did comment were only interested the the two color Hatra and the yellow Hatra with red hubs.

I remember there were some excellent contributions, by various members, to that defunct project. It's a real shame all of that energy was wasted. I'm glad someone else has put this variation back in the spotlight.

Very nice George! With a collection like George's it's not often when a new model takes a place on the shelf. Very nice of Quakers to help make this happen!

You really have to wonder how MCCH lasted as long as it did with that idiot at the helm.
