Interesting 32c Aral

Post by Idris »

There was an interesting SF32c Aral Tanker on Ebay recently (photographs below). I think this is the third one I've seen and so I'm now beginning to wonder whether this might not be a genuine variation.

Is the back panel always bare?

I would imagine the problem with the oversized labels dictated they were not going to be used on the rear panel, as on the sides, we can see a none too happy fix for the labels.

I am sure Dr Jazz had a similarly labelled Tanker.

Surely these are simply the labels normally used on the rear?

Yes, looking at the pictures again it does look like it would just fit, making the side placement a problem because of the top part of the label having to be contacting a part of the top of the container.

Do they exist with labels on the rear, according to Tim, they may not.

It looks very original so may have answered the question.

I'd also assumed these were the standard rear labels, what am I missing?
