Model makers original scratch built model for the Y12 Model T van. Plasticard bodywork,


Base is made from 2x Y1 Model T Ford chassis joined together.


First test shot for the RAF tender. No body detail other than bonnet flutes yet.


Totally blank baseplate.


Another Bugatti for the garage. No Y No. on this one, and short bonnet which was corrected for production. Has production running boards however.


Finally 1 of only (reportedly) 12 of the Code 2 Stoevelaar models.

You have been busy Bob, some great models. I really like the Raf model, also the Y12 is superb. J

Bob is rather modest when he says he has..."some new bits"...these are hardly 'Bits'. the Model 'T' Ford Van is historical material, the Crossley RAF is another, etc, etc.

These sort of models do not turn up at every toy fair or Auction and those that do will command high prices. Bob will be very pleased with securing these for his vast collection which already contains many very rare (no exaggeration there I might add!), models.

Well done Bob on getting those, I know how you have been chasing One or Two of them for some time, the problem now of course is finding room in your cabinets and if it helps I know that Two Y-6 'Fire Engines' take up enough space to hold Three Vans...

It is wonderful that these pieces of history have survived and they've found a worthy home. You're far too modest Bob, you must be chuffed!

Not my area of collecting, however it is very reassuring to see such historical gems being acquired by such a passionate collector like Bob. We can all relax in the knowledge that they are in such safe hands.

The Y 12-3 Ford T and the Y 13-3 Crossley are prototypes, so they are in the rarest collecting class you can reach - they are simply one-offs!
The Y 5-4 Talbot is the rarest the (good) old Code 2 models that were (really) done with the permission of Matchbox between 1978 and 1983, as only 12 pieces of this variation were made!
The Y 24-1 Bugatti is a well-known preproduction piece with its too short bonnet, and there are some of them around in collections (I have one too).
