Hi all,
Finally managed to find a 22h Streamline Saloon, made from 1935 - 40,

Missing it's rear axle and wheels, but I've got a suitable set somewhere.

A rare one this, makes a pair with 22g Streamline Tourer..

Image

Never given the name by Dinky, but it is a Chrysler Airflow, and is often mistaken for the larger Dinky 30a which was actually named as such...

Another one that was never re-introduced after the war,not many left now.

Cheers

Nice addition to the collection Chris and just look at the 'Patina', something very hard to fake. The saloon and coupe look good together.

Cheers Mate,
The patina of these is impossible to fake, I've seen so many try over the years, but you can spot a real one miles away! :D
I've cleaned the roof, but I need to be really careful with it, it is nearly 80

Cleaning something like that is limited to wiping it over with an oil damped cloth.

I love seeing the additions to your collection, these must be so scarce now. Any chance of a photo from underneath?

What's the fatigue like? (I can see some front nearside.)

Nice Find ! Really like these "real old ones", I'll have to start hunting for some.

Just curious, would you ever decide to "restore" any of these relics from the past ? repaint ? and if so, what is your
criteria for restoring them ? I'm on the fence about restoring, would depend on each piece and the condition, I
tend to keep them in original condition.

Hi both,
Fatigue wise it's pretty good, a few cracks, but it's solid compared to most I've got :D
I would never restore any pre War stuff, it's just too rare, all I will do is replace a missing / damaged axle but only with genuine pre war Dinky parts. One good thing about these falling to bits is that I regularly pick up piles of odds and sods to use

Lovely model, I actually prefer the 22h to the 30a, I think the grille looks better as part of the body casting.
