Most commonly found in a metallic steel blue with a combination of red orange blue green and beige interiors and a strange square steering wheel (is this a feature of the real car) it can also be found in light green and the harder to find yellow
It is possible other colours exist

The Chrysler Imperial was introduced into the range during early 1967 and probably had slow sales, being based on a car we seldom saw on British roads outside of feature films.
Medium Blue with Red interior.
Medium Blue with Orange interior.

The same casting was used in 1968 as number 16 and trimmed as a 'POLICE' car in White or 'POLITE AUTO' in Blue.

...and Yes, the 1963 Chrysler Imperial had a square-ish steering wheel.

i would have thought these were quite popular as there seems to be an awful lot of them around
and as for the steering wheel that was a nice observation to make it resemble the real article especially as the home UK market would most likely never had known it's shape
I wonder if it influenced the Austin Allegro's square wheel ??

I am not sure because there is a fair number of Years between the Imperial and the Allegro's production and the Imperial was one of several cars at that time with Squarials.

Blue with Blue interior, Unpainted base. With and without large axle ends Blue with Orange interior, Silver painted base. Blue with Red interior, Silver painted base. Blue with Green interior, Unpainted base. Yellow with Red interior, silver painted base. Green with Red interior, Silver painted base. Blue with Beige interior, Unpainted base.

It seems only the beige interior models had a small bonnet mascot that finishes flush with the edge of the bonnet, all the others seem to have a blob that overhangs. Both of my beige ones are as above and it seems the same with the one Reg posted:

I find it strange that the bonnet casting difference only occurs on the beige interior version, could it be that is the earliest to be produced with the larger mascot as an aid for little fingers it would also stop any possibility of the bonnet dropping down too low

Not sure either, just found it odd that its only on the beige interior versions. Both are plausible explanations. Could do with a few beaters to pull apart to see if thees anything else. For now I've just added it as (probable) earliest version.

Ghosty,Reg, do all yours have the window glazing unit in them with the recess for the blue light ? Only asking as I've yet to see one without, and would assume if it does exist it will be found on the beige interior (if it is the early version).

Had a look and all mine have the recess for a blue light as do my Zodiac estate models
